Egypt players to get $43,500 winning bonus if they win against Ghana

Egypt have agreed a whopping $43,500 bonus for each player if they defeat Ghana to reach the 2014 World Cup in Brazil next year.

This means the Pharaohs will earn by far more than what the Black Stars will gain when they reach the global competition in South America.

It also means the Egyptian players will earn about $21,750 for the win for each leg of the qualifiers if they reach the tournament.

However, the Pharaohs will only be given the money if they manage to qualify for the tournament in Brazil.

The two sides in the first-leg of the 2014 World Cup playoff in Kumasi on Tuesday.

Ghana’s reported $15, 000 bonuses has generated a lot of debate but the Egyptian bonuses will blow the minds of Ghanaians that they are more interested in qualifying for the World Cup than the West Africans.

The Pharaohs are eyeing their first World Cup appearance since 1990, while Ghana are seeking to reach the tournament for the third consecutive time, having reached the quarter-finals in their last appearance in 2010.
