Few weeks ago, news had it that Promzy, a member of hiplife music
group VIP (Vision in Progress), arguably the biggest and the best
musical group in Ghana, had severed his tie with the group.
Speaking to the issue, Friction the founder and former member of the
group, who left the group after their second album, told Flex newspaper
that it's not a good decision Promzy made. “He fits the group very well
so it's a pity he is now out of the group however I also think Prodigal
and Lazy (Zeal) can still continue making hits to keep their composure,”
he said.
Friction is in Holland at the moment having some shows there and doing other new tracks. He has his latest single track 'Auntie Mariam' ft. D-Flex enjoying massive airplay both in Ghana and in Holland.
Friction also disclosed that he feels so proud of himself to create something with a group of people. “It is a great feeling. What I liked so much during my days in the group are the jokes, the friendship and the family-thing we had back then,” he added.
“My only piece of advice to my brother Promzy is that it's not necessary to completely leave the group. Even if you want to release solo tracks, you can still be part of the group just as the Wu Tang Clan use to do,” he concluded.
